Dominican Republic – Punta Cana – Playa Bavaro
The Grand Palladium Palace is located directly beside the kilometre-long sandy beach in the Bay of Bávaro on the east coast of the Dominican Republic. It is possible to enjoy the four swimming pools from the Grand Palladium complex, but the „ Barahona“ pool from the palace resort is the best. There is also a small shallow section for kids. The pool is surrounded by tropical trees and flowers, all is incredibly lush and we have never seen so many palm trees in all the other places we have ever been and this gives the place its charm. Only issue here were sometimes hard to find loungers but the pool is not overcrowded. The entertainment at the pools was good they never pushed you if you said no. They were also great they are called the P.O.P. ( people of the pallidium), we had a lot of fun with them, and the best part was they always remembered your name, and would say hello everyday. The energy these people have is astonishing, they are there from morning till late at night. The bartenders from the swim up bar are great, always friendly and also the service around the pools was really good, the majority of the bartenders always had a smile on their face and were ready to have a good time with you, the bartenders were very generous with the amount of alcohol that went into the drinks. A cocktail while you laze on your sun lounger on the pool is truly really relaxed. Lunch is served at the restaurant „El Bohio“ lunchtime is from 12 to 4 pm. The buffetrestaurant is next to the beach and the pool. The food was really good here, but all the buffets were good, there was always a good selection and their salads or fruits were always fresh.
